Does exactly what I wanted it to....kept me dry, kept me warm, and was high enough to my chest to prevent snow from sliding in if I fell. The elastic seal @ the ankle was tight enough to keep out snow and not so tight that it would cut off circulation. Have fell many times and material still holding strong.
