I live in a small city and usually use my bike for transportation. I wanted to be able to ride in the rain without getting soaked, but I didn't want to be wrapped in thick, sweaty plastic or to spend $$$$ on fancy rain pants for cycling. These rain paints are perfect for me. They have kept my bottom half completely dry during heavy downpours, and I don't feel like I'm wrapped in a tarp or something. Well made, too. I will definitely use them for hiking too. For sizing, I'm 5'3" and weigh 117 lbs, and a small is just right for me.

Pro's:
1. Thin and light.
2. Included stuff sack, while small, is big enough.
3. Easy to move in.
4. Fit perfectly over my jeans
5. Look good.
6. I don't sweat in them.
7. Fair price for quality
8. The single pocket on the front leg keeps contents (such as letters) dry and is perfect for keeping my bike key accessible.
9. Velcro at the bottom permits wrapping the cuffs & making the leg opening smaller. The velcro strip isn't long enough to create a snug fit around my ankles, but I could get away without wearing a bike clip if I wanted to. (I use a reflective one anyway, for visibility.)
10. Customer service. My pants arrived in just a couple of days, but I was sent X-Large instead of small. When I looked up Outdoor Kids, I found that they are located in my town. I simply went over there and they immediately handed me the right pair. They were very friendly and helpful - a small, local business that started a mail-order business that is growing quickly.
11. Keep my legs *completely* dry in heavy rain.

Potential con's:
These things don't affect me, but might be important to others.
1. The zippers go almost to my knee, but because the circumference of the rest of the leg is small, I can't take the pants on or off without taking my shoes off, never mind hiking boots. Those who need the pants to go on & off more easily will need to pay for pants with full-zip sides or buy pants with a baggier fit.
2. These rain pants work great when I ride around town, but for a serious cyclist doing a hard workout, sweat might be a problem. The pants are breathable up to a point, but they don't wick or anything. Might be worth a try, though.

All in all, I would most definitely recommend these rain pants.
